Honor and Glory (Character flaws actually mattered here. Seeing that Diamond Tracer get GM Widowed was too gud. This? This is true garbage and one of the, if not the worst cinematic Blizzard ever did.Īlive (Hype hype hype, and zero hope spot in the end made Talon seem like a legit threat. You know what a great Antarctica story is? The Thing, The Mountains of Madness and of course Sora yori mo Tooi Basho (A Place Further Than The Universe ). It’s as if this story is written by someone who doesn’t know anything about science or the Antarctica. They have family, children, parents, friends, they are scientists therefor having connection to the scientific community, they are employees nevertheless and there are other peoples involved in building and maintaing such a station too. Not to mention that it’s absolutely unbelievable that everyone would just “forget” the scientists AND the scientific station in the Antarctica.

The emotion is a complete fake from the start, since there is no real connection to Mei and her colleaques it’s as if a slasher movie starts where everyone is already dead. The whole story makes absolutely no sense at all but what is even worse, all of Meis precious friends are just extras. Rise and shine - an absolute joke, eleven minutes of boringness. Nothing is bad here, they are all pretty fun additions and I can see why someone might count them higher. They are all good, partially also expanding the world, Sombras cinematic I count on top here and really close to fantastic. The Last Bastion - not really my type but I can acknowledge that they did a very good job making a short without any dialouge and a robot character that doesn’t speak. It did one hell of a job to make you excited for the game. Absolutely fantastic!įirst Cinematic - It was a great introduction into the world with a nice coreographed fight in a museum. It’s not extremely deep but it is fun and heartbreaking and “I have been called” was a line that never was spoken any better. Honour and glory - a great mix of action and emotions, further exploring the whole battle in Eichenwalde and the change that Reinhardt went through. Alive - not really great in exploring Widowmaker actually with her background but it’s the one short where Widowmaker truly succeeds, has a really, really great fight with Tracer and what happens should have huge implications on the world of Overwatch.
